Raquel Pais da Silva is a saxophone player interested on intuitive practises and experimentations. She grew up in Nazaré, a small town off the coast of Portugal, where the world’s biggest waves are located. She finds ways to express her culture and traditions with the same strength and lightness as the waves she grew up watching. Throughout her career she discovered her love and passion for collaborations. She started to integrate other disciplines into her performances and later on she began to research about transdisciplinarity and to develop hybrid art projects. Lately she has been experimenting new ways to express art, such as adding movement to her playing.
